So I have been back for a month and a couple weeks and have yet to blog. Sorry. Ive been a bit busy with getting the apartment ready and classes getting going but Im going to try to make a conscious effort to at least post some pictures and or write a little something once a week.
Valerie, Fil and I rented a car and went to Holland to visit my friend in Leiden which is 30 minutes outside of Amsterdam. Valerie and I have both been there before but Fil had not. I still love Holland as a whole and especially Amsterdam. On our drive back, we went to see the world's largest statue of Jesus.
I also had my birthday here which was great. Had an awesome dinner with friends followed by a few drinks due to class being all day and early the next day. Valerie got me the Bear Grylls official knife! It is pretty awesome, I must say.
Here are some photos from Rome which I did not post last year. We traveled there in the middle of the night and got there around 6am and could not check into our hotel til much later so we toured the city. It was crazy to see everything with almost NO ONE around. You will see in the photos that it was like a ghost town but it made for some great pictures. We saw everything then, went back at night, then saw everything during the day the following day with everyone else so we saw the city in its different ways.

A collection of some shots from the Biophysics building last year capturing the changing seasons. Can you guess the seasons?
The apartment is awesome. FIl's parents purchased this place and they built it to their specifications. It's a bit outside of town, which I like. About a 30 minute walk to the Anatomy Building. With a bus it only takes about 15 minutes, less than it did walking from the dorms. Our place has a 51 inch 3D HDTV too! We still need to get those awesome 3D glasses though. The weather has been quite nice here surprisingly. Last year it was very cold and rainy. This year it was pretty dry and until this week it hovered around 55 during the middle of the day. Now it is just above freezing with some snow on the horizon.
Time to do some studying all day. I will send more pictures and things later.
